February 19

– Officers assisted the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office with locating a suspicious vehicle reported in the 1300 block of South Pickaway Street and performed a traffic stop at Pickaway and Mound streets. The call was cleared.

– Officers responded to reports of a loud party in the 200 block of Timberline Drive. The person was advised.

– A caller reported her vehicle was struck by another driver who then left the scene at Discount Grocery, 900 S. Pickaway St. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– The school resource officer reported an assault that occurred the day before on a Circleville City school bus. A report was taken.

– Lucas Certain of Chillicothe was arrested for OVI and possession after a caller reported a vehicle in the 100 block of East High Street was parked with two people passed out inside.

– A caller reported people were driving go-carts recklessly in the area of Logan and Town streets. The subjects were advised.

– A caller reported a vehicle was driving all over the roadway on North Scioto Street and appeared to be following a male subject on the sidewalk and arguing with him. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A resident in the 200 block of Timberline Drive reported telephone harassment.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a wallet he found in the street on Norfolk Avenue. A report was taken on found property.

– A 911 caller requested to file charges regarding a broken cell phone on McCulloch Avenue. A report was taken on a dispute.

– A female came to the police station to report a custody issue with her ex-husband who lives in the city. A report was taken, and the female was advised regarding the civil issue.

– An employee of Rent To Own reported she had a pawn ticket for an item that was being purchased from their store through an active account. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Dynahoe on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– Michael Williams of Mt. Sterling was arrested on an outstanding warrant at Kwik Stop on West Main Street.

– A resident came to the police station to report a male subject had been following her, but she left prior to an officer’s arrival.

– A caller reported a possibly disabled vehicle in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. and two subjects arguing loudly about it. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to reports of a disabled vehicle in the area of Nicholas Drive and Lancaster Pike but were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A North Carolina woman called 911 to report her vehicle was struck by another vehicle at a stop light at North Court and Watt streets, but the other vehicle took off and she followed it. All parties involved were located at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 23, where no damage was evident on either vehicle. No report was taken.

– A caller reported a vehicle with no brake lights on East Main Street. The call was canceled.

– A resident came to the police station to report he was being blocked from speaking to his ex. No report was taken.

– A caller reported teenagers appeared to be running at cars in the street at Ohio and Clinton streets. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported a possible drunk driver on North Western Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A squad was dispatched in the 900 block of South Court Street after a 911 caller reported a friend texted her stating he needed help but she could not re-establish contact. The male checked OK and advised the text was because he was sick and needed cough syrup.

– Officers performed a canine search of a vehicle following a traffic stop in front of Arby’s on U.S. Route 23. Nothing was found.

February 20

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Walnut Street. The subject checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported two intoxicated males were walking down South Western Avenue from Main Street throwing trash cans into the roadway. Officers replaced the trash cans back on the curb but were unable to locate the subjects.

– Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an OVI arrest on U.S. Route 22 just east of Bolender Pontius Road.

– A caller reported her check book was missing from her vehicle in the 300 block of Watt Street. The caller later found the check book in the house prior to the officer’s arrival.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Adena Medical Office on Morris Road. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated fire alarm with sprinkler system activated at Aldi on U.S. Route 23. The fire department handled the scene.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the parking lot at Chase Bank on East Main Street.

– A 911 caller reported a property damage accident involving a livestock trailer in the 100 block of East Main Street. No report was taken by request.

– An employee at Rural King reported a theft was discovered on video surveillance. A report was taken.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a license plate and handicap placard he found at West Main Street and South Western Avenue. A report was taken on found property.

– A caller reported a vehicle drove onto ODOT property on Highland Avenue and damaged it, but got stuck when they were trying to leave the scene. The occupants began walking northbound from the vehicle. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Second Baptist Church on West Mill Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported his wife was throwing all of her tools out of his vehicle and claiming he hit her. The male left the residence with his possessions, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers delivered a message from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office to a residence in the 200 block of Cedar Heights Road.

– A resident in the 100 block of Edison Avenue reported a burglary. A report was taken, and extra patrol was requested.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mill Street reported a subject was at her residence causing a disturbance over damage to his truck. The call was canceled when the subject left the scene.

– A service department employee reported a broken window at the old Everts Middle School. A report was taken on vandalism.

– An officer was flagged down and advised of a needle in the roadway on South Washington Street. The needle could not be located.

– A caller reported two male subjects were possibly intoxicated and walking toward the Duke and Duchess station on East Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested the canine unit to assist on a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 at Mile Marker 11.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street. The scene checked OK per the homeowner.

– A caller reported an elderly couple walking the ditch line on the 188 side of Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– An employee at UDF on East Main Street reported a customer left without paying for their gas. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– An employee at Dollar General on North Court Street reported two suspicious vehicles in the parking lot for more than an hour without coming into the store, and the occupants were going back and forth between the two cars. Officers advised the subjects checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of Dearborn Avenue reported someone was on her back porch smoking a cigarette. Officers were unable to locate the subject, and extra patrol was requested.

– Robert Senn was arrested on McCullough Avenue after a third party reported a domestic dispute.

– An employee at Subway on Lancaster Pike reported a suspicious male who had been in the store several days before without making a purchase, and he was now back with another male subject. The subjects left the store prior to the officer’s arrival.

– A caller reported a possibly intoxicated female with a young child at Porter’s Laundry on North Court Street. Officers spoke with the female, and she checked OK.

– Officers responded to reports of a possible drunk driver on the U.S. Route 23 ramp to Main Street. The vehicle traveled westbound on Route 22, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised.

– A caller reported the smell of smoke in the dumpster area in the 500 block of East Ohio Street. The scene checked OK.

February 21

– A resident in the 300 block of Weldon Avenue advised he was burning brush. He was informed he needed a permit from the fire department, and he agreed to extinguish the fire.

– Scott A. Hill was arrested for domestic violence at the Guest House on West Franklin Street after a caller reported they could hear a female yelling for someone to call police.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported she heard two people yelling across the street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported his neighbor’s garage door was open and someone walked out of it, but he was unable to tell who it was, and the neighbor was not usually up at that hour. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Hanson Aggregates on Town Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to reports that a male subject was asked to leave the Budget Host Inn after an altercation with the manager but refused to leave. Officers confirmed the man’s identity with a fingerprint machine, and he agreed to leave the property.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle with a group of occupants in the 1300 block of South Pickaway Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A resident in the 100 block of Barry Drive advised she believed someone broke into her residence overnight after finding a curtain and the back door open, but there were no signs of forced entry and no evidence of anyone having been inside. No report was taken.

– An anonymous caller reported two juvenile females smoking in the 100 block of West Mill Street. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Pickaway Street reported someone attempted to break into his residence. A report was taken on attempted breaking and entering, and extra patrol was requested.

– A resident in the 600 block of East Mound Street reported her neighbor’s dog would not stop coming into her yard. A juvenile made the call, but the grandmother at the residence advised it was not a problem. The neighbor’s gate was left open by accident. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Pickaway Street reported she believed she saw a male subject walk past her house with a pistol on his hip. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area, but extra patrol was requested.

– An employee at Speedway on Lancaster Pike reported a vehicle struck the building and left the scene. The officer advised it was a display in front of the building that was struck, not the building, and it caused minimal damage. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 600 block of South Washington Street reported someone broke into his residence sometime during the day and stole his dog. The bathroom window also was open. A report was taken on burglary.

– Josh Chmielewski and Mark Chmielewski, both of Columbus, were arrested at Rural King after an employee reported two males were behind the store stealing pallets. A report was taken on theft.

– An employee at Taco Bell reported a group of juveniles took mints from inside the store and were throwing them through the drive-thru window at employees. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported a known subject was driving by her grandparents’ house on Georgia Road and throwing her child’s possessions into the yard. The subject could not be located.

– Sean A. Lewelling was arrested on a warrant from Madison County after a caller reported a possibly homeless male was sitting on two duffle bags at McDonald’s on South Court Street. The subject was transported to Westfall High School for custody exchange with Madison County.
