Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Yancey D. Barbee, 56, of McArthur, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 10 months in state prison at Orient.

– Justin D. Blankenship, 30, of Waverly, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Orient.

– David A. Days, 55, of Piketon, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

Bryan S. Greeno, 31, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He was sentenced to five years in state prison at Orient, a $1,689.03 forfeiture and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Deborah J. Mackay, 60, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to theft from the elderly. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

Brandon L. Prater, 30, of Reynoldsburg, pleaded guilty to complicity to possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to two years in state prison at Orient, a $444 forfeiture and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– William Randall Preece, 38, of Logan, pleaded not guilty to two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of theft. A pretrial hearing is set for March 11.

– Dale Sheets Jr., 36, of state Route 56 East, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. He was ordered to continue intervention.

– Curtis E. Smith, 55, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Orient and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Steven C. Weaver, 33, of Nelsonville, pleaded guilty to forgery and receiving stolen property. A pretrial hearing is set for March 11.

– Ryan Wurtzel, 41, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.

– Timothy E. Zeimer, 37, of Railroad Street, Stoutsville, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.
