February 12

– A 911 caller in the 800 block of Kingston Court hung up after asking the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher to speak with an officer regarding a civil issue. The caller then called back, and when an officer arrived on the scene, the caller said everything had been resolved. The caller was advised on the proper use of 911.

– A 911 caller reported a male subject with a bleeding head injury in the 200 block of West Main Street. The caller declined a squad and said she would transport the male to Berger Hospital, but an officer arrived on the scene and requested a squad. A report was taken on assault.

– A caller reported a known subject with a misdemeanor warrant was walking westbound on Barry Drive toward Pontious Lane. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Big Lots on Lancaster Pike. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint at the Savings Bank on Pinckney Street.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of York Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported medication was missing from Pickaway Manor on Clark Drive. A report was taken on theft.

– A female caller in the 300 block of Long Street called the non-emergency line requesting an officer and to “hurry up,” then the line disconnected. Officers advised it was a domestic dispute, and a report was taken. A caller later requested an officer for two subjects arguing, and then the line disconnected. Officers took a report on disorderly conduct and advised if they had to return, the subjects would be charged with persisting.

– A caller reported her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle in the 100 block of North Court Street. No report was taken by request.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a female in the 1100 block of Atwater Avenue. The subject checked OK.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 1300 block of South Pickaway Street.

– A 911 caller reported a female customer of the Boost Mobile store on West Main Street was threatening to show up and cause problems. The caller was advised to call back if the female arrived.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at the entrance to Kroger on Lancaster Pike.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Main Street reported receiving a threatening phone call claiming to be the IRS advising she had 24 hours to pay a balance due or be arrested. The caller was advised it was a scam.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the area of South Pickaway and Town Street in which a male subject was standing in front of a female’s car and not allowing her to leave. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at the Pickaway County Welcome Center on West Main Street.

– A caller reported she was at the ATM at the Smoke Shop in the 1000 block of South Court Street, and when the money ejected from the machine, a younger male subject with a cast on his arm took the money and fled on foot. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 100 block of Barry Drive requested the fire department check her electrical outlets because they were not working and she was concerned it may cause an electrical fire. The fire department responded, but nothing was found.

– An employee at Rent A Center on U.S. Route 23 reported a theft from the store. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to reports of a possible drunk driver on North Pickaway Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from Kroger on Lancaster Pike. The scene checked OK.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a cell phone he found at Elsie’s mobile home park. A report was taken on found property.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of Mace Drive reported a neighbor was playing her music so loud that it was vibrating her trailer and waking up her children. The subject was advised to keep the noise level down.

– A caller reported a possible hostile customer inside the UDF store on East Main Street. She stated she heard yelling from inside after her husband asked her to step outside. The clerk advised they were unaware of any problem, and the scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to reports of a possible drunk driver on North Court Street. They were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 100 block of West Mill Street came to the police station to report a juvenile had left the house and he didn’t know where she was. A report was taken on an unruly juvenile. The female later returned to the residence.

February 13

– Officers responded to reports of possible prowlers in the 400 block of Dearborn Avenue. They were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– Shawn S. Scurlock was arrested for domestic violence and menacing in the 200 block of Town Street after a caller reported her daughter was at the residence and the daughter’s ex-husband was hitting her and pushing the children.

– A resident in the 100 block of Lewis Avenue reported a fight in the parking lot involving four subjects. The scene checked OK. Officers advised it was a snowball fight, and the subjects were advised of their conduct.

– A resident in the 200 block of Watt Street reported she had been arguing with a known subject, and the man then went to sit in her truck and listen to music. He had reportedly been drinking and fell asleep inside the vehicle with the doors locked. The male was released to the caller, and the scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of Plaza Drive reported two teenage girls were walking through the area in the middle of the night trying to gain access to vehicles. Information was obtained, and extra patrol was requested.

– A caller reported malfunctioning traffic lights at South Court Street and Corwin. The service department was advised.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of Logan Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported finding a wallet. A report was taken on found property.

– A resident came to the police station to report a large dog was tied to a tree on North Scioto Street at York Street and was wrapped around the tree, unable to move. Officers were unable to locate the dog.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street for a resident to retrieve some property.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the area of Logan and Washington streets.

– Officers responded to an open 911 call from Kroger on Lancaster Pike. The scene checked OK.

– Halie Meadows was arrested in the 400 block of East Ohio Street on a warrant from the Chillicothe Police Department. The subject was transported to the county line for a prisoner transfer.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Walnut Street. A report was taken.

– Patrick Woodard of Clarksburg was arrested in a warrant from Madison County in the area of Half Avenue and Clinton Street. He was transported to Mt. Sterling for prisoner transfer.

– A caller reported hearing people screaming in an apartment in the 500 block of Gumm Place. Officers advised the noise was from children, and the scene checked OK.

– Officers performed a walk-through at the Pour House on North Court Street after an employee advised some tension was building between several people.

February 14

– A 911 caller reported he was standing in the lunch room at the GE plant on East Ohio Street when he saw a male through a mirror creeping up on him wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. The caller turned to face the male, and he ran through the plant toward the machines. The guard located an open door at the garage gate where the male entered the building, but he didn’t know if the male was still inside the plant. The officer requested video surveillance footage of the incident, and a report was taken.

– A caller reported a large fight involving about 10 people in the area of Tootle’s on East Main Street. Officers advised there were no signs of a fight, and the scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a male subject parked in the roadway on Main Street at Court Street who was slumped behind the steering wheel with his foot on the brake. Officers advised the subject checked OK and had fallen asleep. The officer followed him to his residence.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Big Lots on Lancaster Pike. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to multiple activated alarms at Applied Technical Services on East Mound Street. The call was canceled by the alarm company.

– A caller reported the crossing gate was stuck at the tracks on Main Street at Western Avenue. Norfolk Southern was advised. While officers were on the scene, a vehicle struck the gate. A citation was issued, and a report was taken on a property damage accident.

– A caller reported a vehicle kept circling the block on Sycamore Drive at a high rate of speed. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A 911 caller reported a domestic dispute in a vehicle pulling into the Walmart parking lot. The vehicle left the city’s jurisdiction prior to the officer’s arrival, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office handled the call.

– An employee at Domino’s Pizza on Lancaster Pike reported juveniles were riding scooters in front of the store and refused to leave. The juveniles were advised to take their activities elsewhere.

– Chasity Carey was arrested by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, and city police served a warrant at the jail.

– A 911 caller requested information regarding a warrant against her. The caller was advised the information could not be given over the phone, and of the proper use of 911.

– Officers and the Circleville Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm at Goodwill Industries on Clinton Street. Nothing was found.

– A resident in the 800 block of North Court Street reported his son had struck a mailbox with his vehicle on Pontious Lane and exchanged information with the owner. Information was obtained.

– A resident on Zane Trail Road reported the theft of medication while she was at the funeral home on East Main Street. The caller was advised a record had been made, and she would need to come to the police station to make a formal complaint.

– An employee at Speedway on Lancaster Pike reported juveniles riding scooters in the parking lot, and he was concerned they would get hit by a vehicle. Officers determined they were the same juveniles from Domino’s a short time earlier, and they again were advised to move along.

– A resident in the 800 block of Kingston Court reported she believed a known subject was trying to break into her house and steal her TV. No burglary had occurred, and a report was taken on miscellaneous. The caller then advised she found Facebook messages from a known subject giving her address to a male known to have firearms, and she felt threatened by it.

– A resident in the 100 block of West Mound Street reported possible prowlers in the area after two subjects approached her residence asking for food. After being turned away, the caller said she heard someone at the back of the house trying to get in the fence, but she believed the dogs scared them off. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller in the 500 block of Tower Court reported her children, ages 11, 10 and 8, were being unruly and not listening. The scene checked OK, and the officer advised the mother was in charge of the situation.

February 15

– Shawn M. Shepherd was arrested for assault and criminal damaging after a 911 caller reported he came to a residence in the 300 block of East Mound Street and punched someone in the face and flattened another person’s tires.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of West Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers assisted with a disabled vehicle at North Pickaway and High streets.

– A caller reported someone backed into her vehicle in the 100 block of Pinckney Street. The subjects exchanged information.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of West Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– An employee at Rural King on U.S. Route 23 reported the theft of pallets by subjects in a small U-Haul box truck. The employee confronted two males and one female before they could get any more pallets. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 200 block of South Pickaway Street reported receiving a letter from an unknown person threatening to call the police if she couldn’t keep her dog quiet.

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported an unruly 12-year-old male. The juvenile was advised.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a cell phone found in the 300 block of East Main Street. A report was taken on found property.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported a safe with medication inside was taken from her residence. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Second Baptist Church on West Mill Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue reported a subject kept calling continuously to inquire about an item for sale. The officer spoke with the subject and advised him to stop calling.

– Jeffrey W. Bush was arrested for resisting arrest at Main Street Pub after a caller advised he was inside the bar and refusing to leave.
