Melinda Kay Benson, 59, of Londonderry, died 11:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 8, 1956, in Chillicothe, to Donald and Phyllis J. Wills Benson of Londonderry, both whom survive.
In addition to her parents, surviving are a brother, Roger A. Benson of Londonderry; a niece, Crystal Robertson of Circleville; and a nephew, Jonathan (Wendy) Benson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Benson.
Melinda was a graduate of the Pioneer School and had worked for First Capital Enterprise. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, in Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Steven P. Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
