Suzanne P. (Dick) Minshall, age 79, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in Berger Hospital, Circleville.

She was born April 13, 1936, in Five Points.

She was a 60-year member of Sterling Chapter #74 Order of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron, Past District President and Grand Representative of Connecticut in Ohio; Kingston Chapter #411 O.E.S., member of Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church; recently attending Mt. Pleasant Church in Kingston; and retired from Ohio Expo Center in accounting.

Most of all, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sitting on the sidelines of many sporting events, school activities and concerts and helping with 4-H fair projects.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Porter and Garnet (Rasor) Porter; first husband, Arthur D. Dick Sr.; brother, Jay Davis; and sister, Joan (Davis) Reid.

She is survived by her loving family, which includes husband, George R. Minshall; children, Arthur D. (Kim) Dick Jr., Mack Dick, both of Mt. Sterling, JB Dick of Amanda, and Eric (Suzanne) Dick of Leesburg; stepchildren, Robert (Dee) Minshall of Kingston, Pat (Jeff) Brindley of Blacklick and Richard (Julie) Minshall of Kingston; 13 grandchildren, Beth (Matt) Keplar, Matthew (Renee) Dick, Brock (Jamie Blecher) Dick, Maggie Dick, Kendall (Mike) Grenier, Kaylyn (Erik) Marting, Sydney Dick, Brittany (Matt) Lawson, Catherine (Troy Dearth) Minshall, William (Shelby) Minshall, James Minshall, Brianna Minshall and Ethan Minshall; five great-grandchildren, Audrey and Addison Keplar, Olivia and Davis Dick and Owen Dick; several nieces and nephews; and great-niece and special caregiver, Mindy Mettler.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, with family receiving friends one hour prior. Rev. Barry Bennett will officiate with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. Beginning at 8 p.m., an Eastern Star service will be given in Sue’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions may be given to Highland District Hospital “Diabetes and You”; Mt. Pleasant Church in Kingston; or the charity of your choice.
