CIRCLEVILLE – One person was transported to Berger Hospital on Saturday following a single-vehicle crash on North Court Street near the Pickaway Craft Mall.

Brittany Conner, 20, of Columbus, was traveling northbound on North Court Street toward U.S. Route 23 about 11:48 a.m. when the accident occurred, according to Deputy Shad Wright, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Conner was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu following behind two other vehicles when the middle vehicle attempted to pass the first, Wright said.

The first vehicle was making a right-hand turn at the time, however, and Conner had to hit her brakes to avoid impact.

In the process, Wright said, Conner’s vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway and struck the sign for the Pickaway Craft Mall and a steel pole in front of the former Jim’s Pay and Save building.

Wright said Conner suffered a laceration on her forehead and a hand injury, and she was transported to Berger Hospital by crews from the Pickaway Township Fire Department.
