WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – A Circleville man was killed Monday night in a one-vehicle crash on Tarlton Road, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Anthony Charles Strassel, 22, of Circleville, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 6600 block of Tarlton Road following the crash about 9:24 p.m.
Strassel was traveling eastbound on Tarlton Road in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze when he lost control in a left curve and ran off the right side of the roadway. According to reports, the vehicle struck a road sign, a fence and a large rock.
Strassel was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a fatal injury in the crash. He was pronounced dead by Dr. John Ellis, Pickaway County Coroner.
Units from Clearcreek Township and Pickaway Township Fire and EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
