March 6

– A resident in the 300 block of East Main Street reported his girlfriend was leaving the residence, and he wanted an officer to make sure she left. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 200 block of South Scioto Street requested assistance with his cat that had its leg stuck in the heating radiator. The officer requested the fire department to avoid injuring the cat, and the humane officer was notified. The cat was eventually freed.

– A resident reported receiving harassing calls from a known subject. Information was obtained.

– A resident reported a dog barking non-stop in the 200 block of Edwards Road. The dog was located, and its owner was notified. The dog was taken inside for the evening.

– A caller from Berger Hospital reported a dog had been left inside a van for several hours in the ER parking lot. Officers advised the dog checked OK, and the owner also was in the van.

– An employee from First Check Cash Advance reported they had cashed fake checks from a business. A report was taken.

– An employee of the Circleville Herald reported workers doing construction next door were blocking the alley and parking lot behind the building. The driver was advised to move the vehicle once he was done unloading.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 200 block of Logan Street after a resident reported a neighbor dispute.

– A caller reported two vehicles were blocking a lane of traffic in the 100 block of South Court Street. The roadway was reopened and the subjects were advised of other options while attempting to get the disabled vehicle started.

– An employee at Big Lots on Lancaster Pike reported a customer had lost her purse and was requesting to speak to an officer. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported three vehicles blocking the alleyway. One vehicle was a Time Warner contractor who advised he would move the vehicle soon. A second officer was dispatched to the scene, and residents of two neighboring homes were “thoroughly advised” regarding options for off-street parking and disorderly conduct.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at North Court Street and Morris Road.

– An Ashville resident reported an issue with child visitation that was supposed to occur at Hardee’s on West Main Street. Information was obtained.

– A 911 caller reported a trespasser in his driveway in the 16000 block of Baylor Road, Laurelville. Information was obtained and the call was transferred to another agency.

– A property owner reported a former tenant trespassed onto the property in the 500 block of East Union Street the day before. Information was obtained.

– A resident in the 800 block of South Scioto Street reported a suspicious vehicle that had been running with its lights on for about half an hour. Officers made contact with the occupant, who reported if she turned it off, it would die. Checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported Kirby vacuum solicitors were at his home, and he didn’t think they should be arriving so late in the evening. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 200 block of Watt Street reported she heard what sounded like a gun discharge in the area. An officer was in the area and confirmed it was a truck backfiring.

– A caller reported a reckless driver on South Court Street almost caused a head-on collision. A traffic stop was made at the 56 East Car Wash parking lot, where the female advised she had just dropped her cigarette. Checked OK.

– A caller in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported three males came to her door attempting to sell Kirby vacuum cleaners, but the sweeper wouldn’t run. They all left, then one male came back stating the others had left him and asked to use the phone. He then left, walking toward the dead end. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported someone keeps throwing rocks at her windows, and she believed it was a group of juveniles. Officers were unable to locate the suspects, but a report was taken for criminal damaging.

– David A. Cornwell of Cincinnati was arrested on an Adult Parole Authority warrant and a child support warrant in the 300 block of Pontious Lane after a caller reported hearing noise coming from the apartment of a neighbor they knew to be away from home. Drug paraphernalia also was recovered. A report was taken on a civil issue.

– Officers responded as mutual aid to the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a traffic stop at Main Street and Western Avenue.

March 7

– Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive 16-year-old female in the 300 block of North Court Street who had reportedly been drinking alcohol with another female, who was also ill. The two juveniles were transported to Berger Hospital. A third subject who had reportedly left the scene was identified, and officers made contact at her residence, where she checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of North Court Street reported a runaway juvenile. A report was taken. The juvenile was later located and transported home.

– A property owner in the 500 block of East Union Street reported trespassing by a former tenant. The residence checked OK.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office requested officers be on the lookout for a vehicle stolen from the Star Brite Auto Sales lot in South Bloomfield. The caller reported a known subject had taken the car on a test drive and had not returned it more than an hour past the return time.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported a dispute between an adult and a child. A report was taken on a domestic complaint.

– A caller reported a theft by a known female in the 400 block of East Ohio Street. Officers on the scene also requested contact with the water department due to no running water at the location. The water department was advised.

– A caller in the 400 block of North Pickaway Street reported a burglary that occurred earlier in the day. A report was taken.

– Lindsey Pyle, 20, was arrested in the 200 block of Huston Street on a warrant for failure to appear.

– Officers responded to a private property damage accident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane.

– Nicholas Radcliff, 24, was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation in the 400 block of Dearborn Avenue.

– A resident in the 100 block of Logan Street reported a domestic dispute with her mother. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of Pontious Lane requested an officer check a detached garage because the door was open. The scene checked OK.

March 8

– Mark Sayre, 39, of New Albany, was arrested for assault and failure to comply after officers responded to reports of an active fight at Tootle’s on East Main Street.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 500 block of Nicholas Drive. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an alarm activation at Rooster’s on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Ohio Street reported a domestic dispute with her son-in-law who was causing problems and refused to leave the residence. A report was taken.

– A caller in the 200 block of Meadow Drive reported a domestic dispute with his mother. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to an alarm activation at Tootle’s on East Main Street. The call was canceled by the alarm company, who stated it was accidental by an employee.

– A resident in the 500 block of Nicholas Drive reported her boyfriend had stolen jewelry from her and pawned it. Officers reported it was a civil issue over property.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported his neighbor’s friend backed into his vehicle and then left the scene. Officers made contact with the subject, but the caller declined a report due to no apparent damage to either vehicle.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked near the railroad tracks at Hayward Street. Subjects were identified, and a report was taken on criminal trespass.

– A caller in the 100 block of West Main Street reported a construction worker who was unconscious. The subject was transported to Berger Hospital, and a report was taken on disorderly conduct by intoxication.

– A caller in the 500 block of East Franklin Street reported damage to her vehicle windshield. A report was taken on criminal damage.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported her landlord was coming into the residence and screwing down the windows. Both parties were advised of the civil issue and referred to attorneys.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the area of Court and High streets.

– A 911 caller advised she was arguing with an intoxicated male in the 200 block of Huston Street. A report was taken on domestic violence, but charges were declined by both parties.

– A caller reported the smell of natural gas in the 100 block of East Mound Street. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 200 block of Westwood Drive reported he let his daughter use his vehicle, and she is now letting her boyfriend drive it. No report was taken, and the caller had the vehicle returned.

– A resident on Mowrer Road reported finding a metal object in the roadway at Mowrer and Edwards Road she believed to be a cap to a water main. Officer advised it was a gas cap.

– Officers responded to reports of a barking dog in the 200 block of East Mound Street. The residents were advised.
