CIRCLEVILLE – Bike racks and benches will be installed by the city next week in Downtown Circleville, before the GOBA bike event on June 19.  GOBA stands for The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, a week long bicycle event that starts in Delaware, Ohio and runs through many small towns before ending back in Delaware Ohio.  GOBA runs through Circleville on Tuesday June 19.

According to Tom Davis Director of Pickaway County Park District, “The bike racks and benches were purchased by the Pickaway County Park District utilizing in part, funds donated by the Berger Health Foundation and Health Care Logistics.  Both organizations support the Park District’s efforts in getting more folks walking and biking.”

“We are working with City Service Director Sherman on determining the specific sites for the racks and benches, but our preliminary plan calls for a bike rack and/or a bench at the following locations:  On Court Street at the county courthouse, the south and north corners of Court and Main, and the Savings Bank.   On Main Street at Memorial Hall and by the parking lot adjacent too Mason’s furniture.”

“We’re excited about making downtown Circleville more pedestrian and biker friendly, said Davis
