Pickaway County OH- Traffic Stop Leads To Two Arrest and Trafficking Charges

Pickaway County OH- According to Sheriff Robert B. Radcliff on February 10, 2020 at or around 11:15PM Deputy Ryan Howard initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 white Chevrolet SUV on US Rte 23 in the area of Little Walnut for a traffic violation.

Deputy Howard initially made contact with the driver Danielle D. Lorah 32-year-old female out of Columbus, Ohio. Deputy Howard then spoke with the passenger Carl F. G. Newland, 41-year-old male also out of Columbus, Ohio. Danielle Lorah did not have a valid driver’s license and Carl Newland had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Deputy Taylor Blanton and Deputy Lance Canterbury arrived on scene to assist Deputy Howard.

Upon search of the vehicle the Deputies located over 126 grams of Heroin, over 32 grams of Methamphetamine, 10 Colnazepam pills, scales and 2 smoking pipes.

Both Carl Newland and Danielle Lorah were taken to the Pickaway County Jail and were charged with Trafficking in Drugs (Heroin) a Felony of the First Degree, Possession of Drugs (Heroin) a Felony of the First Degree, Trafficking in Drugs Sch I and II (Methamphetamine) a Felony of the Second Degree and Possession of Sch I and II Drugs (Methamphetamine) a Felony of the Second Degree.

The case remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force.
