OHIO – After a step back with the cancellation of this Saturdays game vs Michigan and a 6 game requirement that possibly could have stifled a championship game, now Ohio state faces Northwestern in a title bout.

A minimum 6 games is needed to qualify for the championship, but COVID-19 issues have caused the Buckeyes to only play 5 with two other cancellations.

In a statement from the Big Ten, “The decision was based on a competitive analysis which determined that Ohio State would have advanced to the Big Ten Football Championship Game based on its undefeated record and head-to-head victory over Indiana regardless of a win or loss against Michigan.”

The game is set to play now on Dec. 19 in Indianapolis.
