Ohio State Cancels Illinois Game Due to Covid-19

OHIO – Ohio state Buckeyes have already had one step back with the cancellation of one of their football games two weeks ago now, Ryan Day has been tested positive for the virus.

update: Ohio state has now said that several people have tested positive on the team and they have cancelled the Illinois game.

According to Ohio State University football Ryan will not travel with the team to Illinois this weekend but will be in contact to help call the game. In Day’s place will be defensive lineman Larry Johnson.

This week the Ohio State Football team did report, “increased number of positive tests this week for the coronavirus.”

Players who test positive for COVID-19 must sit out at least 21 days before returning to competition, meaning anybody positive this week will have to miss the last three games of the regular season. Coaches are only out for 10 days.
