OHIO- We have a burn ban in effect for the entire state due to the possibility of controlled fires becoming UNCONTROLLABLE !
These bans are not just about the dry season, it also has to do with the windy conditions spring time provides us.

We follow the emergency services from several surrounding counties and today, we’ve heard reports of FIVE out of control burns.

Ross County has had three reports of field fires today, with the most recent report regarding a wooded area that is on fire for a total of four.

Fairfield County reported an out of control burn that consumed at least an acre at the time of the initial call.

This is our reminder to our readers that this burn ban is in place for a reason, even if it doesn’t make sense to you. Please adhere to this ban and don’t risk it !
