ODOT- Meet Brian. He’s one of our Hocking County Highway Technicians who jumped from the bed of a pickup truck yesterday to avoid being hit by a van while picking up cones on US 33. ODOT’s Director, Dr. Jack Marchbanks, visited him in the hospital this morning. Brian is banged up, but lucky. He may even go home today.
The investigating trooper said this could’ve easily been a fatal crash. The other employee who was injured in the incident was treated and released from the hospital on Friday. PLEASE slow down and move over for our crews so they can go home safe every day!
