NWS- Wind Advisory with Severe Weather Threat Forecasted

National Weather Service Wilmington- A Wind Advisory has been issued for the entire area from 5AM-8PM EDT Monday, April 13. West winds 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Isolated wind gusts to 55 mph Monday morning are also possible. Remember to secure loose outdoor items and use extra caution if driving high-profile vehicles.

The severe threat has been expanded northward. Severe storms will move into the region during the late overnight hours. Damaging winds will be the primarily threat. Flash flooding will be possible and a tornado cannot be ruled out. Strong gusty winds will move in for Monday.
