CALIFORNIA – Dixon police department has introduced a BUN-E Unit to be used for narcotics detection, building searches, tracking, and handler protection on April 1st.

According to the department, they wanted to let people know before they saw the unit patrolling the streets and be prepared for the advanced unit.

Officer Gyurina and his new BUN-E partner, Cinnabun recently completed an intense 500 hour, 14-week BUN-E training program where Cinnabun learned obedience, narcotics detection, building searches, tracking, and handler protection. Officer Gyurina and Cinnabun took the streets this week and have already made an impact on the community with their first arrest.

Cinnabun searched a vehicle during an enforcement stop where she located suspected controlled substances and assisted in taking the suspect into custody without incident.

April fools everyone….
