MISSISSIPPI – Mississippi governor Tate Reeves followed in Texas’s footsteps yesterday and also lifted all mandates for COVID-19 in the state that he governs.
Starting today according to a press release from the Mississippi governor, “we are lifting all of our county mask mandates and businesses will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules.”
The governor says that this decision was based on hospitalizations and case numbers that have been plummeting and that the vaccine is being rapidly distributed.
“It is time,” Reeves said.
