Logan OH- House Condemned After 24 Cats and 9 Dogs Found Inside

Logan OH- June 12, 2020 The Deputy Sheriff Dog Warden, Logan Code Enforcement, Humane Society, Logan Police and Hocking County Health Department went to an East St. residence for an investigation into a matter involving animals and living conditions.

After arriving and investigating the matter, they found the residence contained 24 cats and 10 dogs. The air quality was tested for ammonia and found to be at a very high level which resulted in the Health Department condemning the residence.

The Humane Society took custody of 21 cats and 9 dogs. 3 cats could not be caught at the time and 1 dog was an emotional support dog for a relative of the resident. The Health Department provided the resident with information on cleaning and resources to bring the residence back into a safe environment. The Deputy Dog Warden is to meet with the resident regarding the unlicensed dogs.
