PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS

With local services and aid at their limits, people from all over the country are getting ready to send aid. But for 3 local men, they are already beginning to save animal lives, and deliver aid right here from Pickaway and Central Ohio.

After seeing the disaster unfold on TV, Kyle Bickel, Jobe Porter, and Kevin Lee gathered supplies, a trailer, and began a non-stop journey into the heart of Texas to help animals affected by the raging effects of Hurricane Harvey.

Trio spokesman Kyle said they were motivated to go and help “Wherever possible”. They are being aided by locals and those out-of-state to target flooded areas that may have trapped animals that cannot be saved outside of using a boat, or other rescue devices. Kyle and his team, as of this article, are currently in a pontoon boat rescuing animals in the area.

If you would like to assist them in the expenses they are incurring from their travels and aid you can donate to Operation Save the Animals.

Editors Note: This is a live post, and we will continue to work with Kyle on updates in-the-field from Port Arthur Texas.
