PICKAWAY COUNTY – The City of Circleville as well as Pickaway County government are seeking highly qualified applicants for jobs.
The City of Circleville is accepting applications for the position of City Engineer. This is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Public Service. The Engineer assists in the administration and inspection of all contracts for construction and maintenance of drainage projects, streets, water mains, storm and sanitary sewers and all public works; maintains engineering files and other related documents including GIS system; assists in plan review of all subdivision and development within corporate limits; designs, coordinates and directs projects for Service and Utility Departments.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is desired or related approved area of study from an accredited engineering college. An Ohio Registered Professional Engineer and five (5) years experience in the design and/or construction of public works, roads, or related structures is preferred. Candidate must possess a valid State of Ohio drivers’ license and be able to meet the City of Circleville’s requirements for insurability.
Communication and Core Requirements: Candidate must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with administration, employees and the general public; be able to maintain records and prepare technical reports as well as accurately interpret comprehensive and technical reports and prepare clear and concise reports. Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications and databases with proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point and Auto CAD is required. Knowledge of the principals of modern construction methods, tools, equipment and materials used in the constructions of streets, roads, water mains, sanitary and storm sewers is also required along with a general knowledge of surveying and construction layout.
The City of Circleville offers an attractive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision and life insurance after 30 days of employment. Salary range is $45,000 to $60,000 annually based on education, skills and experience.

Certified Building Official/Plumbing Inspector/Building Inspector
Pickaway County is currently accepting applications and resumes for a State Certified Building Official Plumbing Inspector/Building Inspector in the Pickaway County Building Department. This is a full-time position which pays $31.00/hr. plus benefits. Applicants should have previous management experience must be a United States citizen or have legally declared their intentions of becoming one and must be at least 21 years old.
