ASHVILLE – A local Ashville church is offering a giveaway this weekend of backpacks with schools supplies, groceries, toiletries, and a Hot lunch.
In order to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible, this year’s Back-to-School Giveaway Event on Saturday, August 1st, will be a drive-thru only event where you can easily receive backpacks filled with school supplies, a box of groceries, a bag of toiletries and a hot lunch “to go”. No haircuts this year and the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Mobile Unit will be by appointment only. There will be a signup sheet available at the Drive Thru Giveaway on August 1st to schedule a time to pick up children’s clothing.
A signup sheet will be available the day of the event to schedule a time to pick up children’s clothing. Time slots will be scheduled every ½ hour and will begin at 9:00 am the day of the Giveaway. Masks will be required. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, we will have plenty on hand, so come on out!
