Lancaster Historic “Gem” Restaurant to Close Doors After 54 Years

Lancaster – A cornerstone of the community famous for its Friday Fish Fry, Homemade Deserts, and Great Prices will be closing its doors on Sunday August 11, 2019 forever.

Roots Restaurant located at 1260 North Memorial drive in Lancaster has been severing the Lancaster Community for 54 years. Roots with a lack of a real facebook site the automated review site lists a total of 144 good reviews for the dining experience. Even the Mayor of Lancaster David Scheffler has posted recently his visitation to the location.

Roots responsible for it’s employees made a statement reaching out to other restaurants in the area asking for anyone interested in displaced staff hoping to find them employment quickly.

“There will be a handful of displaced employees seeking work so if you are a proprietor and want the kind of employees who are hardworking and loyal – reach out. None of the current displaced staff at Roots has been on the job for less than two years and some have given over 38 years to the business. Post a response if you are in need of some reliable workers and I’ll pass it along.”

If you ever have enjoyed the restaurant, you have one more chance to visit and eat, Roots will be closing tomorrow after 4 pm. Normal business hours of the restaurant is 8 am to 4 pm then they are closing the doors forever.
