OHIO – Kroger’s motto is, “feed the people” but this time they fed people in different ways.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic Kroger decided to purchase enough pizza to feed 12,000 employees in the Central Ohio grocery stores all 68 locations. This became the biggest single order in Donato’s 57 year history of operation.

According to Donato’s 62 company franchise restaurants had to work together to fulfill the order, and work together to get it delivered properly.

“These women and men have been tirelessly stocking shelves, providing service and keeping their stores clean so that our communities can have the food and other household necessities they need during these challenging days,” Donatos wrote.

Krogers on Saturday announced a bonus to the Delaware distribution center of 300 for full time and 150 for part time.

“Grocery workers are on the front lines, ensuring Americans have access to the food and products they need during this unprecedented pandemic,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO, “Our associates are working around the clock to keep our stores open for our customers.”
