January Dirty Spoons Report Pickaway County

PICKAWAY – Pickaway Dirty Spoons report for January lists only restaurants with Critical Violations for the month of January because the list was so long. Critical Violations are in red and other violations for the same restaurant will be accompanying the Critical reports.

We will be producing a report that will also list the positive reports from our local restaurants because we think that is also important.

3717-1-05.1(O)(2) / Using a handwashing sink – other uses prohibited.
Critical Corrected During Inspection Observed a prep style sink with a handwashing sign being used for miscellaneous purposes. Per the PIC the sink is used for both hand washing and washing of equipment. This sink needs to be designated as a handwashing only sink or as a warewashing sink. Per the PIC this sink will be used as a handwashing only sink, therefore it should be properly supplied and used for nothing else.

3717-1-04.4(J) / Mechanical warewashing equipment – wash solution temperature.
Critical Observed that the facility’s mechanical dishwashing machine was not reaching the minimum required wash temp of 150 degrees. At the time of the inspection the machine was ran 3 times and reached a maximum of 127 degrees for the wash cycle. Machine however did reach it final required rinse temperature of 180 degrees. The machine needs to be serviced to ensure that the machine reaches its final wash temp as stated on the data plate. In the meantime, use the 3 comp sink to properly wash, rinse and sanitize dishes.

Repeat Observed no drain plug in outside receptacle. Contact provider to either point out drain plug or supply receptacle with noticeable drain plug. All dumpsters should have drain plugs to get rid of any liquid accumulation inside.
