Deputies responded to a Chestnut Grove residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

February 24, 2020
Deputies responded to a Haydenville Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The victim told deputies that a home health aide had stolen medication. The case is being investigated by the detective bureau.—–

Deputies responded to a Logan-Hornsmill Rd. residence for a welfare check. Deputies found the person, who was intoxicated, but otherwise ok.—–

A SR 328 resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of tires from their yard.—–

A Country Club Lane resident reported to deputies that a person had stolen prescription medication from their home.—–

Deputies responded to a Happy Hollow Rd. residence for a complaint that the resident had found drugs at the residence. The resident had been away and had others taking care of the property and when they returned they found what they believed to be drugs. The suspected drugs were seized and the SIU detectives were notified.—–

A Sanner Rd. resident reported that their vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was entered into NCIC and the case remains under investigation.—–

February 25, 2020
Deputies responded to a Washington St. Rockbridge residence for a criminal mischief complaint. The complainant told deputies that someone had busted a window on their vehicle. The case remains under investigation.—–

February 25, 2020
A Woltz Rd. resident reported an incident of identity fraud to deputies. The complainant told deputies that they had been notified by postal authorities of a change of address and an attempt to open a credit card. The complainant was able to get that stopped and later, two other credit cards were attempted to be opened. The case was forwarded to the detective bureau.—–

February 25, 2020
The dog warden received a report of a dog bite from HVCH. After investigation, the owner was requested to surrender the dog. The dog will be held for a 10 day quarantine period.—–

February 26, 2020
Deputies responded to a suspicious person complaint on Collison Rd. Deputies located the female walking carrying her belongings. When contacted by deputies the female was talking incoherently and fell to the ground. HCEMS was summoned to the scene. The female admitted to using methamphetamine the day prior. EMS transported.—–

Deputies responded to GoMart Rockbridge for a theft complaint. The case remains under investigation.—–

A Buckingham Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report that their dirt bike had been stolen. The motorcycle was entered into NCIC.—–

February 27, 2020
A Todd Rd. resident reported to deputies suspicious persons on their property. The complainant told deputies that a male and female had been knocking on their door and looking in windows. When deputies arrived the complainant told deputies the persons had told them that their vehicle had broken down. Deputies patrolled the area, but were unable to located anyone.—–

February 27, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Hayden Place Apartments. After investigation, deputies arrested Austin L. Nixon, 23, Nelsonville for Domestic Violence and Assault. Nixon was transported to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies responded to a natural death at a Second St. Carbon Hill residence.
