The detective bureau forwarded criminal charges for consideration to the Prosecutor’s Office on a sex offender that has failed to register as required by Ohio law.—–

Deputies responded to an Opossum Hollow Rd. residence for a mental health emergency. Deputies transported the individual to HVCH.—–
February 27, 2020
Mental Health deputies assisted LPD with a juvenile in crisis at HVCH. The case was referred to Hopewell Health.—–
March 1, 2020
Deputies responded to a Big Pine Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a Keota Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies registered a sex offender and during the registration it was learned the person had moved into Hocking County on February 22, 2020. This was past the three days required by law. Detectives contacted the Prosecutor’s Office and told to monitor his reporting closely.—–

Deputies investigated a single vehicle crash on Twp. Rd. 1027 Rockbridge in which the driver lost control, went off of the left side of the roadway and struck a garage. No injuries were reported.—–

A Clapper Hollow Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of domestic violence. After investigation, the case was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for consultation. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies were called to assist the Logan Police Department with an animal bite at an E. Front St. residence. After investigating the matter, the deputy took custody of the dog for a 10 day quarantine period.—–
March 3, 2020
SIU detectives conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 33 for an equipment violation. The driver, Ambrasia Anderson, 28, Columbus was operating under suspension and was cited for DUS. A male passenger refused to provide deputies with any information or proof of identity and was arrested for Obstructing Official Business. He was later identified as Larry J. White, 29, Columbus. White was transported to the SEORJ.—–
March 3, 2020
Deputies responded to a theft complaint at an Adams Ave. residence. The victim told deputies that they had come out of the residence and found a male dressed in all black rummaging through their vehicle. The subject saw them and fled toward Mingo Park. While at the scene a male told deputies that as he was walking on the railroad tracks a male pushed him down and stole his cellphone. The man was identified as Joseph H. Rogers, 38, Logan who had an arrest warrant from Logan Police. Rogers was searched an was in possession of a cellphone. Rogers was turned over to LPD.—–

Deputies responded to a Buena Vista Rd. residence for a menacing complaint. The investigation is ongoing.—–
March 4, 2020
Deputies responded to a Middlefork Rd. residence for a possible threats of suicide. The case was forwarded to the Mental Health Deputies for follow up.—–

Deputies responded to a Hock-Hocking Dr. residence for a suicide.
