Deputies responded to an Apple Max Rd. residence for a domestic situation. After arriving and investigating the matter, deputies arrested Rachel Stillwell, 31, Rockbridge for Violation of a Protection Order. Stillwell was transported to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Buffalo Rd. residence. After investigation, deputies arrested William D. Hendricks, 27, Massillon, OH and James S. Hendricks, 22, Massillon, OH and charged both with Domestic Violence and Assault and both were transported to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies responded to Tinker St. Murray City for an unconscious female in the roadway. OSHP Trooper arrived before the deputy and moved the female out of the roadway and was able to get her to regain consciousness, but was still incoherent. Deputies arrived and located suspected narcotics. HCEMS transported to HVCH.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Hayden Place Apartment. While deputies learned that no violence had actually occurred that day, they learned of a sex offense that may been occurring over the last few years. After an investigation, Gary W. Baldwin, 40, Logan was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery, F3. Baldwin was transported to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies took a report of a violation of a protection order that had occurred at a Starr Twp. business. The victim told deputies that they were approached by a party who is the subject of a protection order. After verifying that the protection order is currently valid, deputies submitted criminal charges to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

Deputies responded to the Mingo Park area for a suicidal person. When deputies arrived the spoke with both parties, who told deputies that they had made statements, but were not serious. Deputies transported the two to their residence.—–

Deputies responded to the corner of Pike and Sherman Streets in Laurelville for a child endangering complaint. After investigating, deputies forwarded child endangerment charges to the Prosecutor’s Office and forwarded the report to Children’s Services.—–

Deputies responded to Murray City after a neighbor found a 2 year old child walking outside alone. After investigating, the parent has been working extended hours due to the pandemic and the child was able to exit their residence. The case was forwarded to Children’s Services.—–

Deputies received a telephone call from SIRUS XM reporting that they were actively tracking a stolen vehicle that had been stolen from Franklin County. Deputies located the vehicle and detained the driver on Antioch Rd. The driver initially provided deputies with a false name and information. After investigating and coordinating with detectives from the Grandview Heights Police Department, detectives arrested Sheldon C. Benson, 22, Columbus and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property. Benson was transported to the SEORJ. Grandview Heights Police Department will be filing for a warrant for Burglary and Theft in Franklin County.—–

Deputies responded to an Old McArthur Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The victim reported a cell phone stolen. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies received an anonymous complaint of fraud involving Job and Family Services benefits. The case was forwarded to the Fraud Division Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.—–

A protected party of a restraining order contacted the Sheriff’s Office about a possible violation.
The complainant told deputies that the respondent in the order may have been in contact by being the area of the petitioner. The complainant wanted the incident documented.—–

Deputies responded to Keifel Rd. for the theft of a motor vehicle. The victim told deputies that a relative had stolen their vehicle. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen and the case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies investigated a single vehicle crash on SR 93. The driver lost control of their vehicle driving off of the right side of the roadway where it came to rest in the ditch. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch and the driver was cited for failure to control.—–

Deputies took a theft report in which the complainant told deputies that a relative had pawned an item that was taken without their permission. The complainant had told another deputy in an earlier complaint that the property was purchased for the suspect in this case. The case was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.—–

Deputies came upon a vehicle in the median on U.S. 33. When deputies made contact with the driver, the deputy suspected impairment. After field sobriety testing, deputies arrested Austin M. Bond, 29, Lancaster and charged him with OVI. Bond was released to a sober person.—–

Deputies responded to a Carbon Hill-Buchtel Rd. residence for a person under the influence of drugs. HCEMS was requested by deputies, but the person refused to cooperate. Deputies transported to HVCH.—–
May 24, 2020
Deputies responded to a person in the roadway on U.S. 33 near SR 328. When deputies arrived, they discovered there had been a crash. HCEMS and Logan Fire responded as well. Deputies suspected that the person was impaired and conducted field sobriety testing. Deputies arrested Christian A. Frease, 27, Logan and charged him with OVI after he tested .112 on the Breathalyzer. Frease was also charged with Failure to Control.—–

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 33 near Clear Creek Rd. for an equipment violation. After making contact with the driver, deputies suspected there were drugs in the vehicle. Deputies received permission to search and found several items that will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and potential future indictment.—–

Deputies responded to a South Butternut Rd. residence for a complaint of criminal trespass. The resident told deputies that their Ring doorbell had went off and a security light had come on and they believed that someone had been on their property. No one was located and the video doorbell didn’t show anyone on the video.—–

Deputies took an assault report in which a resident of a group home assaulted a caregiver at the home.—–
May 25, 2020
Deputies were contacted while on patrol on Narrows Rd. and told a crash had occurred and a person was pinned under the vehicle. When deputies arrived at the scene, HCEMS and Laurelville Fire were already on the scene. No one was pinned and the driver was driving off road and flipped the vehicle. There were no injuries.—–
May 25, 2020
Deputies responded to a SR 595 residence for an unknown call. When deputies arrived they were told by the husband that he believed his spouse had purchased methamphetamine and it was delivered and put into their mailbox. He provided deputies a bag of what is believed to be methamphetamine. The female was highly intoxicated and arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication and transported to the SEORJ for a 6 hour hold. The drugs will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and possible future indictment.—–

Deputies while on patrol on Old McArthur Rd. saw a man in a yard smoking what was believed to be methamphetamine in a glass pipe. After making contact, deputies took James A. Norris Jr. into custody and charged him with Possession of Drugs F5 and transported him to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies responded to a 911 hang up call at a Cantwell Cliffs Rd. residence. When deputies arrived they learned there had been a domestic argument, but no violence had occurred and both parties had left to go to different residences.—–
May 26, 2020
Deputies responded to a fight call at a Charles St. residence. After arriving, deputies learned that one person had been stabbed multiple times and received lacerations to their back. HCEMS arrived and the person refused treatment. The injury was non-life threatening. Deputies interviewed multiple persons at the scene. The case has been forwarded to the detective bureau and the case remains under investigation
