Hocking County OH- Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North reports:

October 28, 2020
The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of animal cruelty at a SR 328 residence and began an investigation with the assistance of the Hocking County Humane Officer and the Hocking County Health Department. A search warrant for the residence was executed on October 30th. 3 dogs and a cat were seized from the residence. Due to the conditions of the residence, the Health Department condemned the residence. A request for charges for felony Cruelty to Animals was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for grand jury consideration.

October 30, 2020
Deputies received a complaint of an assault that had occurred on a school bus in Laurelville involving students. After an investigation and reviewing video footage from the school bus, charges for delinquency for the assault were sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for 3 students.

November 1, 2020
Deputies responded to a Laurel Run Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The complainant told deputies that several items had been stolen. The complainant provided deputies with a possible suspect. The case remains under investigation.

November 3, 2020
Deputies responded to a Clay Hill Rd. residence for a menacing complaint. The complainant told deputies that they had received several messages that were threatening. The case remains under investigation.

October 4, 2020
Deputies responded to a Big Pine Rd. residence for a theft complaint. Several items were reported to be stolen. The case remains under investigation.

November 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a SR 278 residence where it was reported a male was stabbing himself. When deputies arrived they found a man, who was intoxicated had a small laceration from the knife. HCEMS transported to HVCH for treatment and evaluation.

November 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a Calico Ridge Rd. residence for a domestic violence complaint. After investigation, deputies arrested Dusty A. Conkey, 32, Logan and charged him with Domestic Violence, Assault and Domestic Violence, Threats, M4. Conkey was transported to the SEORJ.

November 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a Union Rd. residence for a criminal mischief complaint. The complainant told deputies that their boat trailer hitch had been tampered with and the boat had been damaged.

November 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a natural death at a Chapel Ridge Rd. residence.

November 6, 2020
A Rauber Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of domestic violence threats. After investigation, Genevieve M. Bean, 29, Logan was charged with Domestic Violence Threats, M4.

November 7, 2020
Deputies responded to a Lime Bank Rd. residence for a domestic violence threats complaint. The case remains under investigation.

November 8, 2020
Deputies responded to a Davis Chapel Rd. residence for a runaway juvenile. While on the call another call for a runaway from a short distance away was also received. The juveniles were believed to be together. Deputies and family members began looking for the juveniles and deputies entered the juveniles into NCIC as missing. A few hours later the juveniles were located at a residence in the City of Logan.

November 8, 2020
Deputies responded to a SR 328 residence for a person who was possibly overdosing and had walked into the woods. After a brief search, a friend was able to contact them on their cell phone and they came out of the woods. HCEMS transported to HVCH for treatment and evaluation.

November 8, 2020
Deputies responded to a 911 call of a person in crisis at Buckskin Trail cabin. HCEMS treated and released the patient. All parties left the cabin to travel back to Youngstown.
