Gas Prices Continue to Climb Since 2021 in Southern Ohio

SOUTHERN OHIO – Gas prices are still driving upwards up over .20 cents a gallon since 2021.

According to AAA The average price of gasoline across South Central Ohio is seven cents higher this week from last week at $2.445.

This week’s average prices: South Central Ohio Average: $2.445

Average price during the week of February 1, 2021 $2.370

Average price during the week of February 10, 2020 $2.340

The average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas:

$2.490 Athens

$2.423 Chillicothe

Hillsboro$2.497

Logan$2.493

Washington Court House$2.466

Lowest gas in the Pickaway county area is Speedway, UDF, and Kroger at 2.22.

Ross county Sams Club, young’s family market have the cheapest at 2.25

AAA forecast say that gas prices will continue to climb with crude oil prices across the US.

“Consumers can expect to continue paying more to fill up this month, potentially up to 10 cents more a gallon, depending on how high crude goes,” said Jeanette Casselano McGee, AAA spokesperson. “If demand grows, that will further fuel pump price increases.”
