Crews boarded up the shattered entrance to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Friday morning after protestors smashed windows.

Sheriff Dallas Baldwin stated that, “the FCSO respects and protects people’s right to peacefully protest, but says acts of violence and rioting won’t be tolerated. We are listening, The FCSO is committed to hearing the concerns and needs of the people of Franklin County. We have a diverse Community Advisory Board, and deputies routinely attend block watch and community meetings, as well as town hall forums. It is my sincere hope that each and every person in Franklin County will join the FCSO to play a meaningful role in building a bridge of trust, promoting healing, and continuing to create a community where everyone feels safe and valued.”
