Firefighter Targeted in Shooting in Columbus Over Weekend

COLUMBUS – Ohio Fire Chiefs Association has reported that they have had a targeted attack against firefighters and police over the weekend.


According to the association a firefighter was targeted while driving a vehicle with firefighter plates and window stickers. A suspect pulled up alongside the vehicle, said something derogatory towards police and firefighters and then started firing bullets into the vehicle.


The shooting occurred over the weekend at the 270 and Broad Street in Columbus. The firefighter who’s name has not been reported to protect his identity, was hit in the arm and he was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury.
