FAIRFEILD – Top Incidents that occur in Farfeild county

*Non-Injury Accident, Winchester Rd. Caller advised that he hit a deer with his work truck. The Deputy had to shoot the deer and remove it from the roadway.
*Threats, Snortin Ridge, Man called in and advised he was having a friend’s camper removed from his property, and the friend was sending him threats. Units arrived and found the caller had a tow company hooking up the camper. The friend showed up and caused a scene, units arrested for DOC.
*Investigative Complaint, Tarlton Rd, Caller advised his land contract was taken out of his safe. Known suspect.
*Larceny, Mason Rd, Caller advised known suspect was coming on property stealing gas from gas pump.
*Accident, Collins Rd/Columbus-Lancaster. Car hit Semi and went under trailer.
*Vandalism, report on possible attempted break-in.
July 17
*Caller reported his trailer stolen to LPD. He then called in and reported he was following it out US22. Units located the truck and trailer at the US22 and SR674. Units ran the occupants. Neither the caller or suspects could produce documentation and there was no vin or serial numbers on the homemade trailer. Both parties claimed ownership. Units impounded until documentation could be produced as to who actually owns the trailer.
*We received multiple calls today reference a black bear sighting south of the bypass. Callers were forwarded to ODNR/wildlife.
July 19
*Stolen vehicle, Main St Thurston, vehicle is a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer with a dealer tag.
*Hit/Skip, E. Waterloo St., Vehicle was struck on the back lot of the Chase Bank building. A note was left and follow up will be conducted.
July 20
*Stolen car trailer from Fosnaugh School Rd. 2011 Black 16ft. Tandem axle with gray rims.
July 21
*Possession of Drugs, US 33 at Gender Rd, Deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle that had fictitious tags on it. The Deputy advised that the driver was just charged with a drug trafficking out of Washington County. The passenger was also identified. The Deputy asked for a K-9, and a Columbus K-9 arrived to help with the stop. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and paraphernalia was located. The passenger was issued a summons and released reference to her daughter in the vehicle. The driver changed her story multiple times and was transported to jail.
*OVI, I-70 at Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Rd, Deputy made a traffic stop with a vehicle for marked lanes. The Deputy advised that the driver was impaired. She was released to a responsible party.
*Information Report, Heigle Rd at Mougey Rd, Deputy was dispatched to an accident with injuries call reference a side by side crash. Driver and passenger both had injuries. Both were transported for medical treatment.
*Accident with injuries, Blacklick-Eastern Rd, Deputy advised that the vehicle went left to center and hit a guardrail and into a pole. The driver was transported for medical treatment.
*Information Report, Cincinnati-Zanesville Rd., Request to assist medics on forced entry. Medics had a 2nd run for a carbon monoxide alarm. No response and FD made forced entry into the residence. No one was located in the home.
*Accident with injuries, Bremen, Vehicle struck a house and damaged the gas line. State Patrol also arrived due to the subject possibly being under the influence of a narcotic. OSP took the report since they were asked to assist with the DRE test.
