COMMERICAL POINT – Commerical Point Mens Club has decided to cancel the 2020 Homecoming festival after, “much consideration and discussion.”
Homecoming Festival usually is celebrated around the second week in June. They offer a famous ocean peach sandwich, fireworks, midway, rides, and games. Fireworks have also been offered in the past. This would have been the 93 year.
According to a press release from Commerical Point Community mens club, “Trust that this was not an easy decision. As most of you know the Homecoming festival is the primary source of income for the foundation. This will certainly impact our ability to provide financial support to community programs in the future.”
“We are hopeful to be able to plan an event later in the summer or early fall depending on the state of affairs at that time.”
