Columbus Zoo Offers Government Employees Free Admission During Shutdown

POWELL – Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering discounts for the furlong employees with free admission to the zoo.  The are also offering free admission on Jan. 21 and on Monday, Feb. 18 in recognition of Martin Luther King day and Presidents day, this has been a annual item.

Columbus Zoo said on a online post, “as our way of showing our appreciation to current federal employees for their service to the public, the Zoo is offering free admission to furloughed federal employees affected by the partial government shutdown and their immediate family members for as long as the government is shut down. Federal employees must present their federal ID or badge at the ticket booth for free admission.”

Standard parking fees still apply during these promotions, the zoo said.
