COLUMBUS – Military Hero’s and family will receive free admission to the Columbus zoo and Aquarium this year with valid military ID.
Military personnel must show military ID, and veterans must show proof of service. Only immediate family (spouse and kids) living in the same household are eligible for free admission. The offer is only available at the Zoo’s entrance.
There are plenty of indoor attractions if it’s a chilly day at the Columbus Zoo for Veterans Day! Pop in for a tropical vacation at Discovery Reef and Manatee Coast. Visit Bob & Evelyn’s Roadhouse with animals from Down Under. Meet the gorillas in the Congo, check out the reptile building, and explore Asia Quest and the elephants. Many animals thrive in the cold weather. The polar bears swim year-round in pool water maintained at a comfortable (for them) 40-65 degrees.
