Circleville Vineyard Hosts 3rd Annual “A Night To Shine”

CIRCLEVILLE – By Matthew Nicklas
For the last 2 years, The Vineyard Circleville Church has been hosting “A Night To Shine” in Circleville and this year is no different. The Friday before Valentine’s Day is a special night that the Tim Tebow Foundation sponsors, and this year, the Grove City United Methodist Church will be joining in with as well.
This is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Churches from around the world will be hosting “A Night To Shine” for thousands of honored guests all on the same night. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of this fantastic night each year and enjoy every minute of it.
This is a night where each guest can expect the star treatment of walking down a red carpet with friendly paparazzi clamoring to see them. They will be pampered with limousine rides, hair and makeup stations, a shoe shining area, and delicious food. And, of course, there is a dance floor with music from the DJ as well as live entertainment from a band, consisting of special needs musicians, named “Inner Vision”.
The crowning moment of the night is when every guest is crowned the Queen, or King, of the prom. This magical night is a free event open to those with special needs ages 14 and older, however you must register online in advance to reserve your ticket. If you or someone you know is interested in attending, please share this information with them and register now. Each person attending must be registered, guest and chauffer.
Each year there is an appeal to the local community for volunteers willing to take the time to assist with set-up and tear down, provide make-up and hair assistance, be buddies for the guests, and many more wonderful opportunities on this very special night. To volunteer, you must register in advance and pass a background check which unfortunately is too late to become a volunteer for the night of the prom for this reason. However, if you would like to volunteer for set-up or tear down, please contact Circleville Vineyard at [email protected]
“A Night To Shine” takes place this Friday night from 6 – 9 pm at the new Circleville Middle School and you can register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/night-to-shine-2018-tickets-41780677130?aff=efbneb or you can find out more by visiting the Vineyard Circleville Church Facebook page.
