Chillicothe Pool Closed For Season

Chillicothe – City Parks department director Bill Bonner has reported that the main pump in the pool has failed and due to weeks to repair that item they will not reopen the pool for the rest of the year.

Parks & Recreation Director Bill Bonner and the City of Chillicothe announce that the Donald M. Smith Memorial Pool will be closed for the remainder of the season. On the morning of Saturday, August 3rd the pool’s primary pump failed. The estimated time required to repair this issue is multiple weeks. The City does not anticipate this impacting the pool for next summer and plan to open on Memorial Day, 2020. Pool members may reach out to the parks office to receive a credit towards a membership next year. Individuals who have events scheduled will receive a full refund.
