CDC Warns of Bacteria From Pet Store Puppies 30 People Sick, Some Ohioans

USA – According to the CDC 30 people have caught a strain of bacteria thats being linked to Pet Store Puppies.

The Outbreak strain of Campylobacter jejuni have been reported from 13 states, in 4 different states including 5 sick in Ohio.

According to CDC, Epidemiologic and laboratory evidence indicate that contact with puppies, especially those at pet stores, is the likely source of this outbreak. Most of the people interviewed had contact with puppy, most were from a pet store, and most were from Petland.

To fight this issue, always wash your hands throughly with soap and water after touching your dog, after handling food, and cleaning up after them.
