Breaking News: Multiple County High Chase Starting in Pickaway

PICKAWAY – A traffic stop turned into a car chase around 11pm on May 5, 2020 that has multiple counties involved, and has lasted over 30 minutes so far.


According to dispatch the chase started around the Goodynook area located at 2512 Us-22 in Pickaway on the west side of the county when a Pickaway Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle for marked lanes and other infratctions. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed through back roads heading eastbound into the Kingston area, then headed south through multiple small towns. Areas and roads of Hallsville, SR-180, Walnut Creek, Charleston Pike, Pinecreek, Lakewood, and 327 have been involved in the chase. Pickaway, Ross, and Hocking are involved with more than seven cruisers in chase.

The chase currently at 11:31 pm on May 5, when sheriffs reported that shots were fired at the cruisers.

Chase is on Piney creek rd around Charleston Creek entering Tucson at 11:38

Stopsticks were effective in the Charleston Creek area, one in custody a female at 11:41, two were reported in vehicle.

11:42 male in custody same area, chase has ended north of the Tucson area in Ross county at 600 block of Charleston Pike.

Sheriff Radcliff came on radio just after stop with positive praise to deputies who handled the almost hour long high speed chase, with professionalism even after shots being fired at them.
