Fayette County- The Miami Trace Local School District is currently experiencing a high volume of influenza B cases throughout the district. Over the past several days, we have worked closely with the Fayette County Health Department to monitor the situation. As a result, the district will be closed on Friday, January 17, 2020. This will provide four days and the opportunity to thoroughly disinfect our facilities and buses.
As a precautionary measure, the entire district will be shut down until the start of the school day on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. All district activities and contests will be canceled this weekend, including youth programs. We ask that everyone please stay out of the school buildings over the weekend. We greatly appreciate your support and cooperation. The wellness and safety of our students will always be our number one priority at Miami Trace. Thank you.
