PIKE –  Fifty two dogs were removed from a home today in Pike County, it took the combined efforts of four county agencies to capture and transport the huge pack. Fayette County Humane Society, Ross County Humane Society and Pike Pet Pals for assisting the Pike County Dog Warden and Humane Agent took a good majority of the day to capture and pen the poor condition dogs.

The dogs were kept in a single family one story ranch home with many outbuildings and fencing around most of the property. From here these dogs will be sent to rescues to be vetted, groomed and put up for adoption to loving homes, and hopefully find forever homes.  The case remains under investation at this time.
