Rumpke to Add Curbside Recycling to Commercial Point

COMMERCIAL POINT, OH – October 15, 2018 – Commercial Point residents will now have curbside recycling, provided by Rumpke, as an optional service. Residents are automatically enrolled in the program and must opt out by Nov. 1, if they do not want the service option.

“We are looking forward to providing the option to recycle for our residents,” said Commercial Point Mayor Gary Joiner. “Our residents are excited about the added service and we are especially excited to announce that the Ross, Pickaway, Highland, Fayette (RPHF) Solid Waste District has offered to pay a portion of the recycling cost for the first and second years of the contract.”

The three year recycling contract will begin in January of 2019.

Rumpke accepts the following items for recycling:

  • Plastic bottles and jugs (please empty, flatten and reattach the lid)
  • Cartons
  • Glass bottles and jars (any color)
  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • Empty aerosol cans (with lids and tips removed)
  • Paperboard (cereal boxes, 12-pack containers, etc.)
  • Cardboard
    A variety of paper products, including:
  • o Office paper
  • o Newspaper
  • o Magazines
  • o Junk mail and envelopes (with or without windows)
  • o Telephone books
  • o Paper grocery bags
