COLUMBUS – Around 3 pm on January 15, 2021 Columbus Police officers responded to 1226 Parkview Dr. on the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the 3-year-old girl suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to a local area hospital in stable condition. It was later learned that the victim and her 4-year-old brother had obtained possession of their mother’s unsecured firearm and a single gunshot was discharged, striking the victim.
This incident is still under investigation.
